Ngā
Hau Māngere Birthing Centre is a place where māmā can rest, recover, and feel
at home.
The
centre has 13 private suites, each with a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom, TV,
and a bath suitable for water births.
To
book a stay, you will need to be registered with a midwife (LMC) who holds an
Access Agreement with our centre. A list of midwives who birth here can be
found below.
Your
journey with us:
- Find an LMC — Confirm your booking with a midwife who holds an Access
Agreement. With your consent, a student midwife may also assist under
supervision.
- Pre-admission visit — Your midwife can arrange a visit to the
centre before your birth. We also offer guided tours every Wednesday and
Saturday — email or call us to arrange a time.
- When labour begins — Contact your midwife. They will coordinate
with us to prepare for your arrival.
- Birth —
Labour and give birth in your private suite, supported by your midwife and
our experienced team.
- Postnatal care — Stay for up to two nights, with support
partners welcome. Our team will guide you on breastfeeding and newborn
care.
- Ongoing support — We will connect you with wrap-around
services so you leave feeling confident and ready to care for your pēpī at
home.
