Kia Ora and welcome to the Nga Hau Case Loading Team. Under our team you'll have shared care by four beautiful midwives who will provide continuity of care for low risk woman wanting to birth at Nga Hau Mangere Birthing Unit.
My name is Dena, and I am a midwife working with the Nga Hau Case Loading Team. My philosophy is that birth is a normal, natural occurring event and therefore provide a focus on primary care for women who have an uncomplicated pregnancy and wish to birth at Nga Hau Mangere Birthing Centre.
I am committed to ensuring the well-being of you & your pēpi throughout this incredible journey. I prioritise safe practices, informed consent, and establishing a secure and trustworthy partnership with each whānau I support. The team provides continuity of care which means we will care for you during your pregnancy, be on-call for your labour and birth, and up to 6 weeks postnatal. We hold a clinic on Wednesdays at Nga Hau Birthing Unit.
