Congratulations, what an amazing journey you are beginning! I became a midwife after having my own babies, now adults - as they grew up I midwifed in big hospitals, small birth units and in homes - in the air, in pools and on dry land. I love providing people centred care, avoiding unnecessary interventions, empowering you to have the best experience possible. I aim to create a partnership of trust, respect and openness, it is a joy watching you become parents to a new person. Information is Power - so I share lots, this results in beautiful births. I work with Rātā Midwives, a brilliant team who use evidence based practice, Kate Henderson and I work alternate weeks. We have small caseloads, offering culturally safe, gender inclusive partnerships with whānau, providing continuity of care from conception to 6 weeks after your birth. One lovely family said "You are amazing!!! you are warm, kind, respectful, professional, funny and energising...we will really miss you".

I am having a sabbatical until the 2nd of March. If you wish to talk about your normal everyday miracle that is pregnancy, birth, call 0273838006 and my phone will divert to my practice Partner Kate Henderson. I welcome babies in Christchurch and surrounds and I do get full very quickly each month, so I will aim to let you know if I can help as quickly as I can.

However if you are returning birthing person (worked with me before) please get in touch regardless of my status.
