My name is Leigh and I am a British trained midwife with experience in the UK, Australia and NZ.

As an LMC, my aim is to be an advocate for women - to strive to ensure that they are provided with evidence-based care and they are awarded the ability to create the birthing experience that they desire. My focus is not on what type of birth that you have, but that you are given choices surrounding your experience and that you feel respected with the choices that you make.

My philosophy is whānau-centred and empowering, working collectively, in partnership with women and their whānau.

I am a breastfeeding advocate but moreover, my focus is on assisting mothers to develop close, loving relationships with their newborns, regardless of feeding method.
