Hi, my name is Kyla and I am a registered midwife. I live in the rural Kaipara area and am the proud mother to 3 beautiful children.

I appreciate that everyone's experience with pregnancy is different and I ground my practice in the principles of informed consent, ensuring that everyone I support is fully informed, actively involved in decision-making, and empowered to make choices that reflect their values, preferences, and cultural needs.

I am passionate about providing individualised care that supports a strong and trusting partnership where we work together to create a physiological birthing experience, while supporting you to engage with other services if the needs arise.

It is my privilege to walk alongside you during such an exciting time in your lives.

Clinics will be held locally and I will support you to birth both at home (where possible) and at Whangarei Hospital. I am currently employed at Whangarei Hospital and will remain in this role while I transition to LMC practice so please bear with me as I answer you enquiries and navigate clinics.
