Congratulations on your pregnancy! I have been working as a midwife in Christchurch for 18 years and I am passionate about supporting women to step into their power during this time of growth and transformation.

I work closely with my colleagues at Homegrown Midwifery in a part-time capacity, usually in the role of backup midwife. I am not currently taking my own clients, but may meet you during your pregnancy if you are being cared for by one of my practice partners.

We all share the philosophy that birth is a normal physiological event, and have strong belief in women’s ability to birth their babies! I believe that women should welcome their babies in an environment they feel safe in, surrounded by people they know and trust. We predominantly support women to birth at home and sometimes in the primary birthing units. We are also confident in liaising with hospital and obstetric staff where this is indicated.
