Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thank you for considering me to be a part of this exciting adventure that lies ahead for you. I see my role is to provide individualised care in partnership with you and your family to ensure your pregnancy, birth and postnatal care is of the highest standard. I have been a midwife for nineteen years and I work in a supportive group with like minded midwives. I will refer you to other health professionals if required to ensure a safe outcome for you and your baby. I have a strong belief in the normal physiological processes of pregnancy and birth and will protect this with you.

Prior to completing my midwifery I was a nurse in the children's ward for 10 years. I enjoyed my time doing this, however it was always my desire to become a midwife and therefore retrained.

My practice partner is Maia Wharekura, our model of care is "shared", you will see either one of us antenatally, for your birth and the postnatal component of your care.
