I'm Bron, mum to 7, grandma to 2. Born and bred in Rotorua, community midwife here for the last 10 years, I have had the great privilege of supporting 400+ birthing whānau and welcoming 500+ pēpi into the world.

Before midwifery - I was a nurse, early childhood teacher and childbirth educator. I'm also an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, have worked as a midwifery tutor at both AUT and Wintec, and I'm part of the NZ College of Midwives Education Team.

My goal is to build a strong partnership with you and your whānau, to provide clinically and culturally safe care, and to support and advocate for your choices as you navigate your journey. This means I will listen carefully; respect and honour your hopes and plans; provide full, clear, up-to-date information to support decision-making; and use all the knowledge and skills gained in my years of practice to care for you in a safe and supportive way.

I am confident and skilled in supporting whānau birthing at home, having attended more than 200 home births as lead midwife and many more as support. If home birth is your choice, you can be assured of safe and experienced care. My new partner Sara starts in February next year, we take a small caseload of 4 women each per month so we have plenty of time to provide you with the best quality of care. We also work in a supportive practice with two other experienced midwives.
