Welcome! I'm a senior Midwife, Lactation Specialist, Nurse(RN,peads,NICU) and allied health ultrasound cert; >24yrs experience with mothers and babies of which >18yrs in CO as LMC.

I'm dedicated to provide optimal maternity care and I've helped many families with personal support and guidance (NZ'er of the Year medal 2017 and Midwifery Clinical Excellence in Rural award 2025). I'm also a mother of 3 beautiful children and understand well the demands and delights of family and motherhood.

I work within an awesome professional midwifery team 'Central Otago Midwives' and take a small local caseload (Alex,Crom,Rxb,Omak) making my care fun and flexible, incl birthing in Dunedin. You'll notice that my help is easy to access and just around the corner. My care is up to date (ongoing study), of high standard, I don't muck around, 1-1, valuing of colleagues and with strong emphasis on safety and continuity. By listening, lots of talking and information sharing we work together and adjust care to your needs

All pregnancies are welcome (un&complicated) My philosophy: Some pregnancies are natural but not all; whether you have a vaginal birth or c/s, you breast or bottle feed... this does not reflect your capability in motherhood. The health and well being of yourself and baby is always priority. The ideal is that when you are looking back at your baby pictures, you are able to think of a happy time with warm memories, reflecting positively on decisions made. I'm supported by the medical centre, but come to your home unless otherwise indicated or out of town. In addition I have also a clinic room set up at home with heart rate monitoring equipment and ultrasound machine. My midwifery care is unique to this region in that I follow you through 1-1, incl birth care in Dunedin and I offer free 1st trimester scans on indication.
