Congratulations on your pregnancy. My name is Lisa, a mum of three children. I was inspired to train as a midwife, by the midwife who cared for me, during my pregnancies. I qualified as a midwife in the UK, working in 3 very busy city hospitals. Since emigrating to Papamoa, NZ in 2015, I’ve worked as a DHB midwife in 3 hospitals, as well as working in LMC midwifery practice. I gained my Masters of Professional Practice in 2020. I’ve also travelled for 18 months in South Australia, as a Midwife Manager on Kangaroo Island and in Whyalla. I returned to LMC midwifery in 2024 to work in partnership with women during their pregnancy and birth journey. As a community midwife I support Home Birth, and births at Bethlehem Birth Centre and Tauranga Hospital. I am based in Papamoa and cover Hapū Wāhine/pregnant mothers and Whānau/families in Papamoa, The Mount & Te Puke. I am looking forward to meeting you, guiding you through your pregnancy and birth journey and welcoming your new pēpi/baby.
