My name is Belinda and I am a community midwife working in the Ōtautahi Christchurch area. I work alongside the supportive and experienced team at Halswell Village Midwives.

I believe midwifery is all about partnership. My goal is to support you and your whānau with individualised, evidence-based, and informative care so that you feel empowered to make the best decisions for yourself and your baby.

I see pregnancy and childbirth as normal, transformative life events, and I am passionate about supporting women and whānau to have the best experience possible. Whether you choose to birth at home, in a primary unit, or at Christchurch Women’s Hospital, I will support you in the place where you feel most comfortable. I provide full continuity of care, throughout your pregnancy, labour and birth and home visits for up to 6 weeks following birth.
