About me
Kia ora and Congratulations on your pregnancy!
My name is Bailey and I’m a midwife and mum based in Christchurch. Outside of midwifery, you’ll often find me taking up yet another new creative hobby or project, reading a good book, or cooking and baking for my whānau (families) and friends.
I whakapapa Māori and am passionate about learning more about wāhine (women’s) diverse cultures and traditional birthing practices. I enjoy finding ways to weave these meaningful traditions into the birth experience, helping whānau feel connected, supported, and empowered.
As a midwife, I am committed to walking alongside wāhine and whānau through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenting. I see childbirth as a normal, transformative life event, and I provide care that blends evidence-based practice with compassion, respect, and personal continuity. My aim is to support, empower, and collaborate with you, ensuring your journey is centred on your needs, values, and choices.
I support birth in the primary units and at Christchurch Women’s Hospital when medically indicated, and I provide continuity of care from early pregnancy through to the postnatal period.
If this feels like a good fit for you, I would love to hear from you. Fill out the form below or send me a message with your details (name, date of birth, due month, which number baby this is, where you’re based) and I will be in touch during business hours
