Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Anete, I am a midwife and a mum to five lovely children.

I started my career as a health practitioner at the school of medicine but soon realised that midwifery is what I would enjoy. I completed my midwifery degree in Dunedin and have been a midwife for 18 years. I have always practiced as an LMC midwife and I have also worked for the Hastings Hospital in various roles. I am experienced in both home and hospital births.

My philosophy is that birth is a normal life event. I strive to provide you and your family with education around pregnancy, birth and postnatal period as well as empower and look after all women in my care.

I currently run my main clinic in Havelock North at 4 Treachers Lane and a Napier clinic on Tuesday mornings. I will visit you at home after baby is born. I look forward to meeting you and sharing this journey with you.
