Charlie Hancock (she/her)
About me
Kia ora! I am Charlie
Originally from the Waikato, I moved to Ōtepoti in 2017 to start my midwifery journey and have since set up home with my partner and our daughters. I am currently returning to practice from maternity leave and rejoining Absolute Midwifery.
My philosophy is inclusive, whānau-led, culturally appropriate care. My aim is for all whānau to leave my care feeling empowered, heard, supported and respected.
I aim to achieve this through:
- Individualised care
- Evidence-based care
- Facilitating informed choice and decision making
- Collaborating with other health professionals when needed
I believe birth is a normal but sacred life event - in all its forms. I support the physiology of birth, as well as advocating and supporting additional care when it is required.
I provide full LMC care to whānau: Pregnancy, birth (home or hospital) and up to six weeks postnatally.
In your email, please include the date of your last period or your EDD based on assisted conception.
