Hi, I’m Gill, a registered midwife with the team at Absolute Midwifery, providing care to families across the greater Dunedin area. I was born and raised in Dunedin, where I live with my husband our daughter and two lively dogs. Before midwifery, I worked as an accountant, but after the empowering birth of my daughter I was drawn to midwifery as I saw the importance of the partnership between midwife and family.

My practice centres on building a trusting relationship with you and your whānau, with respect for all cultures, identities and family structures. I provide care that supports your individual needs, values and choices. I am committed to providing clear, evidence-based information to support informed decision-making.

I believe pregnancy and birth are normal physiological processes, while also recognising when additional care is needed and working collaboratively with the wider maternity team. It would be a privilege to support you through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period.
