Jackie Simpkins

Kia ora whānau,

After working in rural health in South Waikato, I’m feeling incredibly grateful and excited to be returning home to Whakatu to serve my own community. As a proud Whakatu wahine, connected to my whenua and tangata, I am passionate about supporting whānau-led birth journeys through informed choice, education, and care that empowers whānau to make decisions that feel right for them.

I love being a midwife and consider it a true privilege to walk alongside wāhine during such a significant and sacred time in their lives. My goal is to provide safe, supportive, and culturally grounded care that nurtures both pēpi and whānau throughout the journey.

I’ll be working alongside Te Piki Oranga to offer continuity of care throughout your hapūtanga and beyond, ensuring whānau feel supported every step of the way.

If you feel I may be the right fit for you and your whānau, please send me a message — I’d love to have a kōrero.

Please send an email enquiry outside business hours; within working hours please send me a text and I'll get back to you.
