I'm Grace and I'm an LMC midwife based in Queenstown. I am a British midwife, I trained in 2012, working in a busy Central London hospital before moving out to continue my career in NZ in 2018. I love being a midwife; I love working alongside women and their whānau during such a life changing time and facilitating safe and positive childbirth experiences. My job is to make you feel supported and well informed throughout so you can make the decisions that feel right for you. I provide comprehensive, holistic care, working closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals when needed. If you are looking for a midwife please feel free to reach out below. I offer continuity of care to women throughout the antenatal period, labour and birth, and up to six weeks postnatally as you adjust to parenthood. I work in a team of 6 with my teammates Heidi Jensen, Grace Godinet, Keri Mapperson, Tomoko Clark and Nicci Fahey. Each of us take on small caseloads to ensure safe, woman-centred care and a work-life balance. Although I don’t currently travel to Invercargill or Dunedin I support births in these locations and will organise wonderful midwives to look after you if that is your preference.
