Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am a NZ-trained midwife, a good communicator with experience of supporting women and their families from 40+ different countries.

I strive to deliver woman-centred and inclusive care. I respect each woman’s unique cultural background. If this would be your first pregnancy or you came from another country, you may be unfamiliar with NZ Maternity services. I am pleased to help answer any questions you may have. I keep my caseload small each month to ensure that I am accessible, and able to spend time at each appointment for information sharing with no rush. Pregnancy is a normal and empowering life experience, but it can get complicated for some women. Trustful relationship with your midwife is the key that will help you feel safe, supported, and most importantly, enjoy this special journey.

Where complications arise, I work closely with the Obstetric/Pediatric team in Invercargill/Dunedin to help you achieve a safe and positive outcome.

I am originally from Japan, and a mother of one active teenager who was born in Queenstown. I spent some time in Brazil before moving to Queenstown, then married to my NZ-born husband.

I work alongside Grace F, Keri, Nicci, Grace G and Heidi, making up the collaborative practice of six experienced midwives. Two on-call midwives always remain in Queenstown to provide 24/7 safe midwifery care as a team. I offer full midwifery care throughout pregnancy, labour & birth, and up to 6 weeks postnatally.
