Ko Christina Casey toku ingoa. I have been a midwife in Tairawhiti for over 10 years, working with many māmā, pēpi and whānau in our community.

I will support and advocate for you throughout your pregnancy, labour and birth and those first few weeks after your pēpi is born.

I believe in the empowerment of informed choice and consent, and encourage best practice recommendations. I am passionate about physiological birth, and I maintain my skill in secondary labour and birth cares, working collaboratively with our obstetric team to ensure safe outcomes for māmā and pēpi.

I am proud to be part of Ahu Midwifery. I share the oncall component of care with my practice partners, which includes urgent, emergency and labour and birth cares. I keep a small caseload, as to ensure quality and personalised care, while maintaining a sustainable midwifery practice and work-life balance.
