Congratulations on your pregnancy!

My name is Winona. I’m a new graduate midwife based in Tauranga and mum to a busy two-year-old boy! I feel very privileged to walk alongside you and your whānau through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks with your baby.

As a new graduate, I am well supported by my mentor and colleagues, and I bring a strong foundation of experience. I work in partnership with my midwifery partner, Olivia, and we support one another as backup midwives to ensure continuity of care and time with our own families. My philosophy is that birth is a normal, but life-changing event. My role is to support and advocate for you, share clear and up-to-date information, and help you make informed decisions that feel right for your whānau. If anything unexpected arises, I work closely with the wider maternity team to ensure safe care. I cover areas from Papamoa to Omokoroa, with clinics held on Thursdays at Leading Midwifery Care.
