Kia ora and congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm Tess, an LMC midwife working in the Porirua area. As a midwife it’s my privilege to support and empower you to have a positive and meaningful pregnancy and birth journey. One of the things I love most about my job is the relationship built with each family - taking time to answer your questions, share up to date research and knowledge, and facilitate informed decision making. My hope is that you feel supported, well prepared and even excited for what lies ahead! I enjoy supporting home births, and also provide care at our local maternity unit (Kenepuru) and Wellington Hospital including planned caesareans, with water birth an option at all locations.

I work closely with my practice partner Jo, and a wider group of like-minded midwives. I live locally with my husband and our two beautiful children. Antenatal appointments are at our clinic in Elsdon, Porirua on Thursday mornings, and visits to your home after baby arrives.
