Severine Beneteau
About me
Kia ora, hello, bonjour
Ko Severine tōku ingoa, from France, living in Aotearoa since 2008 with my 3 tamariki and husband. I began as a core midwife at Te Whatu Ora MidCentral and am a childbirth educator with Barnardos.
I am passionate about supporting whānau through pregnancy, birth, and the first 6 weeks postnatal. I provide calm, personalised, evidence-based care at home, Te Papaioea Birthing Centre, or hospital (incl. epidural care), so you can choose the place of birth that feels right.
Antenatal visits are at our Pirie Street clinic, and postnatal visits are usually at home. I keep a small caseload to get to know you and work with colleagues and the wider maternity system when needed.
I warmly welcome LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent whānau, and all cultures and backgrounds. My care is rooted in partnership, whakawhanaungatanga (strong connections), shared decision-making, and culturally safe practice honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
I aim to guide and support you to feel confident and empowered.
You can reach me by email using the form below, or send a text (text only) on 021 562 738 (021 LMC SEV). Please include your full name, due date or date of last period, whether this is your first baby, and your town. I will reply as soon as I can. Ngā Mihi
