My name is Mellisa (Mel), First and foremost I am a mama to 3 tamariki and have resided on Auckland’s North Shore all my life.

I whakapapa to Nga Puhi in the Far North, Palmerston in the Cook Islands and Raiatea in Tahiti.

As a midwife I am passionate about providing a safe, respectful, informed and empowering space for wāhine to make informed decisions about the care they receive on their haputanga journey. I am passionate about low-risk, un-intervened physiological birth but will provide information and transparency where I believe intervention in needed.

I have a fond interest of traditional Māori birth practices and always manaaki through a Te Ao Maori lens.

My clinic is currently based in Glendene but I am happy to provide care to those residing in both the North Shore and West Auckland region.
