Hello and congratulations!!!

I am a Darfield based midwife, passionate about rural midwifery. I look after clients from all around the Selwyn district, particularly in the Malvern area. I do antenatal appointments at Oromairaki birthing unit in Rolleston and travel to your home for visits once baby is born. I predominantly provide care for those wanting to birth at home or in a primary birthing unit. I love supporting the normal processes of childbirth and I see my clients have better outcomes and experiences in these environments. There are times where pregnancy does deviate from the normal and hospital birth is more appropriate. In these situations I am more than happy to provide care for those needing to birth at Christchurch Women’s Hospital. I provide non-judgemental care and feel so privileged to be a part of this special time in people's lives. I have three kids (human), one dog, two cats and three ducks.
