Hello!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. My name is Liz Greene, and I am a registered midwife practising in the Eastern and Northern Southland, and West Otago areas.

I am also a Registered Nurse, with postgraduate qualifications in Well Child/Tamariki Ora and Counselling. My midwifery approach is grounded in women’s health, evidence-based care, and walking alongside women and their whānau throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

I offer up-to-date care in a non-judgmental and confidential manner, and I aim to educate and guide women and their whānau to make informed decisions during pregnancy, labour and birth, and the postnatal period.

I support women to birth in Gore, and Invercargill if secondary care is needed. I hold antenatal appointments in a clinic in Gore. I offer postnatal care for up to six weeks, ensuring that clear communication happens for discharge to GP or Well Child/Tamariki Ora.

Choosing a midwife is an important life decision. I welcome an initial appointment so we can discuss your expectations, answer any questions, and ensure you feel clear about the role of a midwife in your care. I am contactable 9am-5pm (weekdays) and for urgent Midwifery care outside of these hours. I appreciate phone calls for discussing midwifery care.
