Kia Ora, I’m Lara. I love being an LMC and have recently started to combine this with a new role as a midwife working on the neonatal care unit at CWH. In order to be able to combine both roles I mainly offer care to those clients planning to have a C-section, however, I do take a few clients planning vaginal birth if they are returns or have had a baby vaginally before. I work mainly in the Selwyn area as I have clinics located in Rolleston and Darfield. I love my work and I enjoy the challenge of keeping pregnancies, birth and the postnatal period as relaxed and as calm as possible. Outside of the operating theatre I strongly support birth at primary units and really enjoy water-birthing babies. Due to my NICU commitments I only take a small caseload so apologies if I am full when you enquire.
