Kia ora, I provide midwifery services for WAIHEKE ISLAND only.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I’m Iessa, and I live and work on Waiheke Island. I am a mother, grandmother and midwife.
I came to midwifery through my own journey of having babies and I love and continue to be amazed at the process of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
I am currently sharing a caseload with another midwife on Waiheke, Rachael Macdonald.
We can support you to birth at home on Waiheke or at Auckland hospital.
My belief is that the role of a midwife is to be with the birthing person and their whānau in ways that are supportive of their culture and ways of being.
My midwifery ethos is to support you to make choices around your pregnancy and parenting journey. I strive to do this through providing you with information and knowledge and encouraging you to intuitively decide what is right for you.
