Hi. I am Heba a registered midwife and a nurse. I was born and bred in Egypt, with Arabic being my mother tongue. I have lived & worked in New Zealand since 2004 & I am a New Zealand citizen.

I have long experience in women's health since 1991 overseas. I also worked at Women's Health Unit at Palmerston North Hospital as a nurse for many years. I am an LMC midwife in Manawatu area since 2011. I maintain a low case load of 2-3 women/ month. I provide home visits during pregnancy as required . Being a low case-load midwife means expecting a continuity of midwifery care/r throughout your pregnancy & beyond.

I work with you to achieve a positive childbirth experience regardless of the unique challenges that unfold during your maternity cycle. I have a certificate in Obstetric Acupuncture & I use several techniques to reduce the need for pain relief medications during child birth, including acupressure, acupuncture (free of charge), and water.

I provide labour and birth care at Te Papaioea birthing centre, Palmerston North hospital and Levin Maternity birthing unit. I will visit you at home post birth for 4-6 complete weeks and refer you & Pēpi to GP and Well Child provider of your choice.
