I’m Grethe, a Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) midwife based in Wellington, and I feel privileged to be able to walk alongside māmā and whānau through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood.

I offer personalised, continuity-based care and am passionate about building trusting relationships with the families I work with. My philosophy of care is grounded in partnership, informed choice, and respect for each woman’s unique values and preferences. I’m committed to providing safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate care, and I hold a special interest in supporting Māori and Pasifika whānau. My clinic is located in Newtown, directly across from Wellington Hospital, and I currently run clinics on Tuesdays.
