About me
Kia ora! Congratulations on your pregnancy!
My name is Emma, I am a registered Midwife in Whakatāne and a mother of two beautiful daughters.
I have worked in Whakatāne as both a Student Midwife and a Registered Midwife since 2019, graduating in early 2022.
I have experience in both Primary and Secondary care.
Primary/community midwifery care is where my heart lies and this is mostly due to continuity-of-carer - walking alongside māmās and their whānau throughout the entire pregnancy, birth & postpartum experience.
As both a māmā and a midwife, I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are one of the most important experiences in a woman’s life. I passionately believe in individualised maternity care that is non-judgmental, informative and nurturing, in order to ensure the overall Hauora (well-being) of you and your pēpi (baby).
I strongly believe in body autonomy & informed consent. I advocate for each woman's right to make informed decisions regarding her own body and baby.
I hope to be offered the privilege of being a part of your journey.
The best way to contact me is sending an email via the form below with your name, address, date of birth and due date (estimation is fine). I aim to get back to you within 2-3 business days.
