About me
Kia ora, and congratulations on your pregnancy!
Ko Ngāti Porou tōku iwi.
Nō Wainuiomata ahau.
Ko Miriam Bowles-Maxwell tōku ingoa.
I provide care and support throughout your hapūtanga/pregnancy, labour and birth care and postnatal care 4-6 weeks after birth.
I am eager to bring my acquired skills and deep commitment to whānau-centred care into the birthing space. Mana motuhake, or ‘self-determination,’ is at the core of how I approach midwifery. I strive to support whānau in maintaining their mana over their health and wellbeing, respecting their autonomy while offering guidance and expertise to facilitate informed, empowering choices.
I am part of Bellies In Bloom Midwifery, working alongside Toni Williams, Moni Faaifo, Deborah Murphy, Nerissa McPherson and Antonia Tang.
Our clinic is based in Boulcott.
I look forward to working alongside you and your whānau.
