Kia ora, hello!

I’m Marla, a registered LMC midwife based in Ōtepoti/Dunedin. I have a background in pharmacy and general health, having worked as a Pharmacy Technician for six years before earning my Bachelor of Midwifery degree.

I support both home and hospital births in my practice, offering care to people from all walks of life. My goal is to ensure every person in my care feels safe, supported, and fully informed to make decisions that align with their needs.

I believe strongly in birth as a normal life event, but respect that complexities can arise and will work closely with any healthcare professionals involved in your care, always in partnership with you and your whānau.

I work alongside a fantastic team of midwives here in Dunedin. My practice partner is Gina Glass, and together we collaborate with the midwives at Blossom Maternity and Choice Midwifery. I take every second weekend off-call, and during those times, our back-up midwife team will be available to support you if needed.

My working hours are usually 9am-3pm on weekdays, with weekends and evenings reserved for urgent care. Antenatal clinic appointments are held in Musselburgh, while postnatal visits usually take place in your home.
