Kerianne Becks

Kia ora and congratulations on your hapūtanga/pregnancy.

I am a Māori Midwife based in Ōtautahi Christchurch and North Canterbury. I come from Tuahiwi, Ngāi Tahu is my Iwi, Ngāi Tuāhuriri my hapu. I’m also a mum of two tamariki aged 7 and 10.

I became a midwife because I’m passionate about supporting wāhine and whānau to trust their bodies, their instincts, and their choices while navigating the physical, emotional, and spiritual journey of hapūtanga, birth, and the postnatal period. I take a holistic approach to pregnancy and childbirth, however work collaboratively with other midwives and health professionals to provide safe and individualised midwifery care.

I work within the Ōhua Midwifery practice, where we work closely together as a team to provide supportive and cultural care for our whānau.

You can find out more about us here: https://www.ohuamidwives.com/

My clinics are held Tuesdays in St Albans at our Ōhua clinic, and Wednesdays in Kaiapoi.

To enquire, please text to contact me and I will do my best to respond as soon as I can (within business hours). Alternatively, you can fill out the form below. I look forward to connecting with you and your whānau!
