About me
Kia ora koutou,
Ko Chelsea Yeoman tōku ingoa (my name is Chelsea). I am a new graduate midwife, keen gardener and nature lover. I grew up in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and moved to Whakatāne in 2021 to study midwifery (you may have met me as a student over the past 4 years working in Whakatāne Hospital + Whakatāne/Ōpōtiki Communities).
I believe pregnancy and birth is an extraordinary, yet beautifully ordinary process that has the potential to transform, and empower māmā + whānau. My role is to provide you with information and care so you and your whānau can together make the right choices for you and your baby.
I am tangata tauiwi and strive to create safe spaces for all people.
I aim to hold a small caseload of māmā to ensure the best continuity and care. In saying that, to ensure my sustainability as a midwife I will take 1-2 weekends off per month.
I look forward to the possibility of connecting with you and your whānau as you embark on this journey.
If you are interested in having me as your midwife, please feel free to reach out via email to chelseayeomanmidwife@gmail.com
