Kia ora!

I am an experienced midwife and have worked with many families as a midwife in the Otago region. Throughout this time I have provided safe & gentle midwifery care to hundreds of māmā and pēpi with excellent outcomes. I believe in using Te Whare Tapa Whā to guide my practice approach. I have practiced in rural areas, primary birthing units, tertiary hospital settings, and at homebirths. I aim to give support and education in a respectful way, so you can make the informed choices that feel right for yourself and your whānau.

I have two children of my own, born in 2021 & 2023. I co-own the Choice Midwifery practice here in Ōtepoti Dunedin and work in with a few different midwives who provide back-up care to my clients, mainly Tegan Sheahon and Emma Kirk. I run antenatal classes as an educator, and grow flowers and sew as a hobby!

Professionally, I have worked as a lecturer at Te Pukenga, and as a Chairwoman at NZCOM.

You can email me via the form on this page. My working hours for non-urgent visits are 10-2pm, Mon-Fri, with weekends reserved for urgent visits. Please note I do not offer routine (non-urgent) visits on the weekends, or in the evenings. Please let me know your estimated due date, any important medical/pregnancy conditions that may affect your early pregnancy (if you feel comfortable to share with me in an enquiry - this will help me to make sure I schedule your first visit in an appropriate time-frame), your plans for birth, and what number baby/pēpi this will be for you.
