Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm Carmen, a qualified midwife since 2008, providing care for women in the central Tauranga & Mt Maunganui region.

I'm a mum to 4 children & take a caseload of around 3-4 women /month. I work with a supportive backup midwife & we provide regular time off for each other.

I am passionate about midwifery & empowering & partnering with you to make the choices that you want for your pregnancy, birth & postpartum period. I believe that birth is normal but am also aware that it can be complex at times. I provide full secondary care so I can care for you if you require an epidural, induction etc. I will be beside you throughout your journey, educating & supporting you. (I can support you at Tauranga Hospital, BBC or home).
