I am Emilie, a mother of 2 boys born at home and a midwife living in Otauru-Shannon.

As well as English, I speak French, some Swedish and can understand some Spanish.

I respect pregnancy and birth and believe them to be, most of the time, normal and physiological events in one’s life. I value taking the time needed to build a partnership. You are the person caring the most about your baby, and I am here to give you some information, encourage, advocate and/or simply hold space.

Pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent are all incredible and personal journeys and, as a midwife, I feel so honoured to be invited to walk alongside you and witness your family grow.

To find balance and look after myself and my family, I care for 3 whānau a month. I reserve availability for whānau who wish to birth at home or at the primary birth unit in Levin.
