About me
Kia ora and congratulations on your pregnancy!
My name is Andi and I am a Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) midwife based in Wellington. Originally from Hungary, I spent much of my adult life in Germany before making Wellington my home seven years ago. I feel incredibly grateful to support growing whānau in this wonderful community.
I am passionate about providing holistic, individualised, whānau-centred care and building trusting relationships throughout your journey from hapūtanga/pregnancy, through labour and birth, and into the postnatal period.
I have a deep passion for physiological birth and home birth, and I believe birth is a normal, powerful life event. Supporting families to birth at home is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I love creating a calm, familiar environment where women and their whānau can feel safe, supported, and empowered to welcome their pēpi.
Whether you are planning a home birth or a hospital birth at Wellington Regional Hospital, I will provide evidence-based care that supports your individual needs, values, and choices.
My aim is to ensure you feel informed, confident, and well supported throughout your pregnancy and birth experience. I see it as a privilege to walk alongside families during such an important chapter of their lives, providing continuity of care, compassionate support, and the information you need to make decisions that feel right for you.
My antenatal clinic is held at the Domino Midwives clinic in Newtown on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, I will visit you at home for 4–6 weeks to support you and your growing whānau.
I work alongside the wonderful team at Domino Midwives, where we share a philosophy of holistic, evidence-based, and family-centred maternity care.
