About me
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I am happy to say that I am back in Dunedin, after recently working as a locum for a year, mainly in Invercargill and Blenheim. I moved to New Zealand, from England, 29 years ago intending to stay for 3 years, but fell in love with the country and decided to stay forever. I have two grown up daughters and look forward to grandchildren soon!
I offer midwifery care which includes: support, advice, information sharing and plenty of laughs for women/wahine and whānau/families wanting to birth in Dunedin. I believe that birth is a natural process which is a normal and joyous life experience. I believe in continuity of care and the freedom of choice for all women/pregnant people throughout the entire antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal period. Where pregnancy, labour or birth has added or unexpected complications, I work closely with my obstetric and paediatric colleagues to facilitate the safest outcomes for everyone in my care.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey into motherhood/parenthood and creating or adding to your family. I am really happy to have a chat and answer any questions you might have via email or on the phone. If I don't answer your email immediately please note that I will get to it asap, as I may be at a birth or sleeping. On-call shared phone is 021 454 256.
