Kia ora I'm Kaitlin,

I’m a registered midwife who is passionate about providing continuity of care and walking alongside women and their whānau through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenting. I believe pregnancy and birth are profound, normal life experiences, and my role is to offer calm, informed, and respectful support that is tailored to each individual and family.

I work in partnership with women, supporting informed decision-making and honouring what feels right for them. I have a strong interest in physiological birth, while also valuing the importance of safety, evidence-based practice, and collaborative care when it’s needed. I aim to create a space where women feel heard, empowered, and supported.

Continuity is at the heart of my practice. I value building genuine relationships over time, being a familiar and trusted presence throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. When birth takes place in Invercargill, I am committed to travelling with women and their whānau, ensuring they feel supported and not alone during this important transition. Outside of midwifery, I’m grounded by nature, connection, and community, and I bring this calm, holistic approach into my care. It is a privilege to be invited into such a significant time in people’s lives, and I feel deeply honoured to support whānau as they grow.
