Mel Lacy
About me
Kia Ora and congratulations on your pregnancy. My name is Mel, I am a midwife in our beautiful city of Whanganui and surrounding areas. I am extremely passionate about working with our māmā and whānau and I look forward to forming a partnership with you throughout your pregnancy, labour, birth and for the first 4-6 weeks of your postnatal period. I provide open-minded care, that acknowledges our diverse community. The care I aim to provide would be individualised in order to support each family's needs in promoting positive health outcomes for both mum, baby and whānau included. I am passionate about homebirth and VBAC and supporting māmā with this, I work alongside my practice partner Danielle Grant who is a like-minded midwife and together we ensure there is always someone available to provide you with care when I am having time off or unable to provide the care myself for whatever reason. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you throughout this exciting journey
Please feel free to contact me by phone/text on 027 320 9009 between 9-5 during the week or alternatively feel free to email through the below contact anytime and I will get in touch with you as soon as possible. We also have a Facebook Page called Te Awa Midwives that you can access anytime.
My clinic days are shared with my practice partner Danielle Grant and we run a flexible clinic Monday - Friday as negotiated with mama.
