My name is Paytra. I was born in Gisborne but have spent most of my life in beautiful Hawke’s Bay. I reside in Poukawa with my husband and our blended whānau of five, aged 21, 20, 19, 15 and 14.

Pregnancy is a natural, powerful, and deeply transformative experience; a journey that touches the emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of women and their whānau. I believe wholeheartedly that the wishes, values, and voices of women and their families should sit at the centre of care.

As your midwife, my goal is to walk alongside you, offering evidence-based information, guidance, and reassurance so that you feel confident, empowered, and well supported throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period. I am committed to advocating for you, ensuring you are heard and respected, while providing safe, holistic care for both you and your pēpi.

It would be a true privilege to support you and your whānau; to help create a space where you feel informed, nurtured, and able to trust in your own strength and choices as you prepare to welcome your precious pēpi. I work with the Eastbourne Midwives, and our clinic is on Eastbourne St in Hastings, I am also available to support māmā in Central Hawke’s Bay and Napier. Together, we can negotiate a flexible plan with a mix of home and clinic visits to best suit your needs.
