Allie Shirley

Tēna koe, ko Allie ahau.

I believe every birth journey deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and care. Being a culturally safe midwife means I take the time to understand and honour each whānau’s values, beliefs, and ways of doing things. Birth is such a special time — a chance to celebrate whakapapa, build whanaungatanga, and support māmā and whānau to feel confident and cared for.

I share a small caseload with my midwifery partner, Marama Wilson, and together we care for all our whānau. This means you’ll get to know both of us, and we’ll both be there to support you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and the early days with your pēpi. We work closely together so you always have someone you know and trust by your side.

I love helping wāhine hapū feel informed and supported to make choices that are right for them and their whānau. My care comes from the heart and is guided by the best evidence and research available, so you can feel safe and confident every step of the way.
