About Me
Working in the Western Bay of Plenty area. Te Puna to Waikino. Taking a caseload of 2- 3 women a month, with 3 great backup midwives who also take small caseloads. Working as a self-employed midwife since 1984. Prefer to care for women who choose to birth at home, or in primary birth centres (BBC and Waihi). Focus on keeping birth as natural and normal as possible but feel it is very important to continue to provide care right through if complications arise. Aim to work with women and their families to improve knowledge and create confidence and enjoyment throughout the pregnancy, childbirth and new parenting time. Qualified naturopath, so incorporate modalities such as nutritional/lifestyle counseling, acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy as requested, (at no extra charge.)
It is a privilege to see and help with the changes and challenges of pregnancy, childbirth and adapting to a new baby. I love my job, and get huge enjoyment from being part of this very special time in peoples lives.
