Congratulations on your pregnancy. I completed my training at Massey @Wellington in 2000 & since then have worked in a variety of settings including Primary, Secondary & Tertiary levels.
I am the mother of 3 adult children & Nana ‘rie’ to 4 beautiful grandbabies.
I enjoy my work immensely & derive a huge amount of satisfaction supporting women, their partners & family/whanau through their journey of Pregnancy, Childbirth & becoming parents. I consider myself lucky to be part of this journey. I consider that each woman is unique in her needs, culturally, physically, mentally, socially & adapt my practice to fit with each woman’s needs.
I believe that for most women Pregnancy & Childbirth is a normal life event. My role is to provide a safe environment for women to achieve this & if necessary help guide on the way. In order to do this I work across the full scope of Midwifery Practice & thus, with my midwifery partner, am able to provide Continuity of Care.
