My name is Andrea Smith, also known to many as Andy. I have lived in Papamoa for 20 years with my husband and now teenage family. I have been a lead maternity carer since completing my Midwifery Degree at Wintec in 2007. I have antenatal clinics in Papamoa and Te Puke. My approach to midwifery is holistic; the journey is not only influenced by physical needs and experiences, but psychological, social, cultural and spiritual dimensions as well – each woman and her family is unique. I will guide, advocate and advise when needed and ultimately share in the same goal; to ensure the health of you and your baby.
I feel privileged and passionate to be part of this experience with woman and their families and am grateful to work within a group of like-minded midwives who share the same philosophy of "protecting and promoting normal birth". Congratulations on your pregnancy and this exciting time in your lives.
