I am a midwife that has been registered since 2006. My early practice has been based in a remote rural area, and I moved to Wanganui in early 2011. I have three teenage children, two boys and a girl.
My belief about midwifery is that midwives are the guardians of normal birth, and their job is to help prepare and facilitate a woman’s progression to motherhood. I believe that pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding are a normal part of a woman’s life.
I consider the relationship between a midwife and a woman should be based on a partnership, with each of them working towards a successful outcome, however that may happen.
I can provide pre conception advice, midwifery care from conception to childbirth and post natal care until your baby is six weeks old.
I work with five other fantastic midwives and and we strive to provide excellence in midwifery care to women, their babies and families. I am lucky enough to call these women my friends as well as workmates.
