I have been a midwife for more than 20 years and have worked as a Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) for all of that time. I still love my work and enjoy meeting and caring for women/wāhine and their families/whānau as they embark on their journey to parenthood. I aim to provide women/wāhine with information to enable them to make informed choices around their care. I care for four to five women/wāhine most months and enjoy a supportive partnership with Michele Lord who has more than 20 years midwifery experience. Women in my care can expect to meet with Michele during their pregnancy to ensure both midwife and women feel comfortable and at ease should labour occur during my scheduled time off.
